The Morton Grove Park District is looking for a “Star Spangled Idol” to sing at the 2012 Independence Day Fireworks Show.  Final contestants will be selected from audition tapes and then will perform the “Star Spangled Banner” on June 12 or 19 at 6:45pm before the Tunes on Tuesday concert.  Three vocalists will compete each night and our judges will choose the top performer who will advance to the final selection round on June 26 – when the “Star Spangled Idol” will be decided. Stop by and cheer on your favorite performer.  Interested performers must by 18 years or older by July 4 and submit a STAR SPANGLED IDOL application into the park district no later than June 2, 2012.  Applications are available on-line at www.mortongroveparks.com or you can pick one up at Prairie View Community Center.  Call Kelly at 847-965-1200 for more information.
