Area Fire Crews Put Out Glenview Garage Flames
Glenview, Morton Grove, Northbrook and Prospect Heights authorities worked together to quell the incident.
Ralph Ensign, deputy chief of the Glenview Fire Department, will serve as Winnetka's interim fire chief until a new chief is named, according to a resolution approved by Glenview and Winnetka village trustees Tuesday, Nov. 17.

A garage fire in the 1700 block of Monterey Drive Thursday resulted in $250,000 worth of damages, according to the Glenview Fire Department.
Fire crews from Glenview, Morton Grove, Northbrook and Prospect Heights worked to put out the structure fire. This is the third fire in seven days the Glenview Fire Department has worked to put out.

"The home was found unoccpued with little extension fo the fire into the living areas," according to a press release from Glenview authorities. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
