Cops Fundraise For Kids At Dunkin Donuts Today

Police will be on the roofs of Dunkin Donuts locations from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the "Cop on a Rooftop" fundraiser for Special Olympics.

Ready for some joe this morning? Drive by a Dunkin Donuts and there just might be a guy named Joe on the roof, and he'll be a police officer collecting donations for Special Olympics.

The Niles Police Department and Park Ridge Police Department, in conjunction with the Illinois Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, are conducting the Dunkin Donuts “Cop on Top” Event today from 5:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In 2010 over $207,000 was raised at over 111 locations state-wide to benefit the Illinois Special Olympics, Niles police said.
