Evicted Men Charged With Criminal Trespass

Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Darisz Jandura, 23, and Jerzy Jandura, 51, whose last known address was in the 7200 block of Greenleaf, were charged with criminal trespass to a building on Tuesday at 12:50 a.m.

A police officer on patrol observed some personal items on the lawn in front of a townhome in the 7200 block of Greenleaf, and noticed a Cook County eviction notice posted on the door, according to a report. The officer learned the eviction had taken place the previous day. The door was padlocked, but the officer saw a ladder at the rear of the residence leading to a window that was ajar.

Police entered through the window and found the two men sleeping in a bedroom, they said. Their court date is March 9 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.

Cold medication stolen

Miguel Gonzalez, 42, of North Mason Street, Chicago, was charged with Class 3 felony retail theft Monday at about 4 p.m. at a retail store in the 5600 block of Touhy. Security agents told police Gonzalez selected $315.66 worth of cold medicine, concealed it in his jacket pockets, paid for an unrelated item at the cash register and exited the store without paying for the cold medicine, police said. His court date is Feb. 7 in Skokie.
