Family Says Niles Pizzeria Refused Them During Storm

As lightning, high winds threatened, moms say Cici's Pizza would not let them inside.

Two moms say that during the height of Tuesday evening's storm, with high winds, rain, lighting and thunder, they ran with their children to Cici's Pizza in Niles and an employee there refused to unlock the door and let them in, according to WBBM Newsradio 78.

Cheryl Syed and Aries Mushtaq told the radio station they had just picked up their children, five altogether, from swimming and wanted to take them for pizza. There were patrons inside Cici's, 8525 Golf Road, but the door was locked and an employee refused to open it.

An employee of nearby Jo-Ann Fabrics saw what was happening and waved the group inside.
