First Baby Arrives At 12:23 A.M.

With 4,011 babies delivered last year at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, chances were good that one would arrive on Jan. 1.

Nurses at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge didn't have to wait long after the midnight hour for the first baby of 2013 to arrive.

At 12:23 a.m., Aileen Herrera delivered a baby girl, with dad Eduardo Jimenez at her side. The couple is from Arlington Heights.

She weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces and is 18 inches long, and she joins two older sisters.

In 2012, 4,011 babies were delivered at the hospital, according to a statement.
