There will ALWAYS be corruption in Illinois and other states... Why do you think people run for office, because they care about people? Yea, sure... Do you think people run for office to work for FREE or for MINIMAL pay that is offered for taking that position? Yea, sure... They run for office to make $$$$$$$ and gain Power... These clearly are people that can't come up with their own thing to take a position in life, or take down a score for that matter.

People in the public eye are only asking for throuble, which ultimately results in a finding of guilty, a felony conviction, prison time, hurting their family, etc. Not worth it! The key is, LOW KEY.......

There are 3 billionaires in Illinois that I know of, and they all live in average homes, drive average cars, and they are NEVER in the public eye... Low key is their motto for survival in this day and age.

Who cares.....

I served on a committee with Mr. Ryan when I was the Legislative Chairman for the Automotive Service Association. Our duty was to assist in the advice of how to reduce auto theft in Illinois. This was before all his troubles. He was a very nice and respectful man based on what I knew of him.

I do think that there are many people going into the political arena with the belief that they really can make a difference. Some get frustrated and leave, others just hang on, and some get caught up in the unethical side of it all. Even good people make bad choices and must suffer the consequence of their decisions.

I do feel that it is unfair however to label all politicians as crooks and uncaring. I think term limits would help.

I'll tell you who cares.....I care. I am one of George Ryan's victims, and I want to know when I get "released". I was smashed by one of those trucks whose driver had one of Ryan's bribed licenses. That was 15 years ago, and I have never had a moment free of pain or a day of "normalcy" since then. I had to re-learn how to walk, how to talk, how to balance. I had to relearn almost every life skill. I lost my well-paying job. I lost the life that I had built for myself over 44 years. His greed directly resulted in a life that for me still includes seizures and unremitting pain. I need injections in order to walk.

So now he is free. He has "paid" for his crime.

I will never be free of the consequences of his crime. There is no justice here on earth. But I am still better off than Ryan will ever be, because he has not admitted his guilt, repented of his crimes or asked forgiveness from his victims.

My pain will end when I enter the next life. His judgement will continue when he enters his.

WHAT HAPPENED ? THE FORMER GOVERNOR WAS SUPPOSED TO STAY
TILL JULY . NOW HE'S BACK AT HIS HOME IN KANKAKEE, WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS LINDSEY LOHAN ? EVEN LINDSEY HAD TO STAY OVERNIGHT !
