It will be the second Ross store in Niles, and will be almost 27,000 square feet.
Golf Mill Shopping Center will get a Ross Dress For Less store, scheduled to open in Fall 2012 or Spring 2013, the mall announced Friday afternoon.
Ross, a national off-price retailer, entered the Chicagoland market last year with several suburban stores, including one in Pointe Plaza on Touhy in Niles. It specializes in clothing, housewares, shoes and accessories and, according to its website, sells at 20 to 60 percent below regular retail prices.
"Off-price bargain stores are one of the hottest types of retail entities," said Monika Kalicki, Golf Mill's marketing manager. "It makes us a shopping destination people will drive for."

Ross, which originated in 1982, has more than 1,000 stores in 30 states. Other nearby stores include Skokie and Arlington Heights, as well as the Niles store just north of Village Crossing Shopping Center.
Mike Williams, Golf Mill's general manager, said many national retailers, including Target and Home Depot, have two stores in Niles.
"The one on Touhy is getting more traffic to the east, and we're on the west side of Niles. So they'll draw from different trade areas," he said.
The Ross store at Golf Mill will have its own entrance, facing Milwaukee Avenue.
The new store will create about 50 construction jobs and 35 to 50 retail jobs, depending on seasonal fluctuations, Kalicki said.
The store will occupy 26,500 square feet, making it almost three-quarters the size of Value City, which is 40,000 square feet.
Ross' website reported that the company's net earnings for the 2011 fourth quarter grew to $192.0 million, up 19% from $161.8 million in the prior year.
