In addition, a driver involved in a crash was charged with not having a driver's license. An arrest is merely an accusation and does not indicate a conviction.
On Oct. 2, a 43-year-old Niles man reported that someone had entered his 1999 Mercedes four-door sedan and removed a headset, GPS unit and phone charger, with a total value of $1,260. The vehicle was unlocked and parked on the 8300 block of Oak Street when the incident happened, on Sept. 21 between 2 an 4 a.m.
Woman in traffic crash had no license, police say
Anna Wegrzyn, 31, was charged with driving without a valid driver's license on Oct. 2 just after 1:20 p.m. Wegrzyn was involved in a crash in the 7500 block of Harlem Avenue. Her court date is Nov. 6 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
