Now about those frozen custard cones: Alberto Del Hoyo, general manager of the Morton Grove Culver's, said they feature three flavors each day: chocolate, vanilla and a flavor that rotates. For today, Thursday, it's turtle, one of its most popular flavors. It has fudge, caramel and toasted pecans embedded in vanilla frozen custard.

As for the Culver's deluxe burger, Del Hoyo said it's made from fresh Midwest-raised beef, and comes in a single, double or triple, featuring mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions and American cheese on the aforementioned buttered bun.
