I don't understand why the Patch Cartoons are ending.....We all need some humor in our lives, especially now..The times are rough for a large amount of people.....Please say it isn't so!!!! *:(
The answer, and the problem, is in the name: "media company." These are headed by people trained in business who think they can run any industry they commandeer. Their guiding principles can be contained in a spreadsheet cell. The principles of open debate, the public's right to know, free speech, watchdog role, etc., -- quality over cost -- were held by the founders of the companies that the businessmen purchased.
