Lotto Winners Cash In Days Before Ticket Set to Expire
A group of three Chicago area residents won $1 million in last year's St. Patrick's Day drawing.
Three Chicagoland residents almost lost out on their Illinois Lottery winnings, the Daily Herald reports.
The three relatives won $1 million in the St. Patrick’s Day drawing from last year. Their lawyer presented the winning ticket to Lottery officials in Des Plaines last week just three days before it was going to expire. The winning ticket was sold in Wood Dale, the Daily Herald reports.
