Maine East Wrestlers to Compete at Schaumburg Saturday
The team will take on Addison Trail, Conant, Elk Grove, Hoffman Estates, Lake Park, Maine West, Schaumburg and Streamwood.
The Maine East High School wrestling squad will compete in a very important meet at Schaumburg on Saturday, Feb. 2. The top three individuals will advance into sectionals at Maine East, and the team champion will head to the Lake Park dual-team sectional, the Daily Herald reports. The high school will face off against Addison Trail, Conant, Elk Grove, Hoffman Estates, Lake Park, Maine West, Schaumburg and Streamwood.
The state individual tournament will be held Feb. 14-16 in Champaign, while the dual-team state tournament is scheduled for Feb. 23 in Bloomington.
The Feb. 2 meet starts at 9 a.m.
