Morton Grove Bank Robbed Friday

A robber demanded money at about 2:30 p.m.

Morton Grove police responded at about 2:30 p.m. Friday to a report of a bank robbery at the MB Financial Bank branch at 9147 Waukegan Road, the department said in a press release.

A person entered the bank and demanded money, but did not display a weapon or indicate they had one. The person left the bank with an undetermined amount of money, police said.

No one was injured.

If the bank tellers and other bank employees carried guns, NO banks would be robbed... What people don't understand is, the bad guys don't usually fear the police; but they most certainly do fear guns.

Apparently you have no idea what goes down in a bank robbery and how crazy the robber can get. You are like those empty-headed people who INSISTED that the people in the Aurora Theater could have taken Holmes down.

The object is to let the robber get away from the bank. There are dye packs that EVERY teller MUST put into his bag, along with marked money and UV-marked cash. Apparently you have never seen the lengths banks go to catch a thief.

Hmm let me see, a 40 y/o pasty mom bank teller making $8 an hour is going to risk her life protecting a bank's money with an OK Corral style showdown with a career criminal with an oozie.

People exiting a bank should be buzzed out... If they held up the bank, then they should not be buzzed out; giving the police a chance to arrest them... Not saying that this is the best way to delay a bank robber, but if this sort of buzz-in and buzz-out system was implemented, NOBODY would think of robbing a bank; because they would be caught.

Again, think a moment, please. The thief will panic and possibly start shooting people to get out. The buzz system would be too risky in a bank that does lots of foot traffic.

The Buzz-In and Buzz-Out system will have criminals thinking TWICE... Shame on all of you LIBERALS that think that way... Jewelry stores have the Buzz-In and Buzz-Out system andyou DON'T see them getting robbed... You see, you're a bunch of Liberals that have NO CLUE what is needed to keep the cons thinking twice... Go back to La-La Land, Liberals.......
