'No More Nearby Casinos' Bill Introduced

Illinois State Representative Marty Moylan wants a 20-mile radius around Des Plaines without new casinos, the Daily Herald reported.

Illinois State Rep. Marty Moylan proposed legislation that would prevent any new casino from being built within 20 miles of Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road in Des Plaines, the Daily Herald reported.

Earlier this month, Moylan said if efforts to increase the number of casinos in the state are successful, Des Plaines should reassess a revenue sharing agreement that requires the city to split gaming tax revenues with the state and a list of other communities, Journal and Topics Newspapers reported.

They should have named it Des Plaines Casino for search purposes... Park City will be getting the next casino... It's already in the works.

Why is it always an issue of revenue sharing and not the immorality of gambling?
