St. John Brebeuf 1st Graders perform "Mary Did You Know?" in preparation for their Christmas Eve Nativity Pageant at 3pm at the St. John Brebeuf Family Mass.  The choir of angels and shepherds were led by Mrs. Carol Zalinski.

The need for food donations is year ‘round but especially high during the winter holiday. So, Maine Township officials and volunteers from the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) were out in force at the Des Plaines Shop ‘N Save store on Dec. 3 to collect food and financial donations. Here, l to r, are Highway Commissioner Bob Provenzano, Adam Greenberg, Clerk Gary Warner, Bill Prize, Dagmar Rutzen, OEM Director Bob Cohen, Trustee Susan Moylan Krey, and Supervisor Carol A. Teschky. Volunteers will return to the store this Saturday, Dec. 10 so please stop by and donate. For information, call 847-297-2510
