Niles, Morton Grove McDonald's to Eliminate Menu Items

The restaurant chain is eliminating Chicken Selects and The Fruit & Walnut Salad, the Associated Press reports.

Say goodbye to some well-known items on McDonald’s menu.

The fast-food chain is eliminating Chicken Selects and Fruit & Walnut Salad from its menu and is considering cutting the Angus burger as well, the Associated Press reports. McDonald’s is now introducing more limited-time menu items like the new McFish Bites.

Chicken Selects were added to the menu in 2004, and the Fruit & Walnut Salad was introduced in 2005.

The Niles and Morton Grove McDonald's restaurants are located at the following locations:

  • 7969 N. Milwaukee Road, Niles
  • 6309 Dempster, Morton Grove
  • 8460 Dempster Ave, Niles
  • 298 Golf Mill Shopping Center, Niles

What do you think about the changes to McDonald's menu? Will you miss Chicken Selects or the Fruit & Walnut Salad?

Athough tasty, McDonald's chicken (McNuggets, sandwiches) are made of processed chicken and loaded with fat. Personally I prefer the chicken breast from Subway to any form of "McChicken."
