Niles Police Blotter: DUI Arrests

The following information was provided by the Niles Police Department. An arrest is merely an accusation and does not indicate a conviction.

 

DUI, Possession of Cannabis Charges

Allison Madl, 22, of Evanston, was charged with DUI and possession of cannabis Dec. 22 after a traffic stop at 1:25 a.m.

Niles police stated that Madl was seen swerving from her lane between the 6600 and 6800 block of Oakton Street. A traffic stop was initiated and sombriety tests given. After Madl was arrested, officers searched her vehicle and found a bag containing a green leafy substance and a smoking bowl, police reports state.

DUI Arrest on Dempster

Michael T. Ochonicki, 32, of Morton Grove, was charged with DUI after a traffic stop in the 7200 block of Dempster Street at 11:01 p.m.

Niles police stated that Ochonicki was heading north on Harlem and was in the lane closest to the curb. Police stated that Ochonicki made a right turn onto Dempster, disregarding a traffic control device. Niles police initiated a traffic stop and administered field sobriety tests.
