Niles West to Host SingStrong Chicago Festival

The three-day festival is devoted to a cappella and raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association and will be held March 22 to 24.

 

 

Love singing or hearing people sing? Niles West High School will be hosting a three-day festival devoted to a cappella while raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association

SingStrong Chicago will be held March 22 to 24 and will feature concerts, classes and opportunities to perform. 

Performers include NotaSwingle Singers, Traces, Julia Easterlin, Blue Jupiter, THUMMp, and New Tradition Chorus

Aspiring singers can sign up for classes with sessions on arranging, blending, competition strategies, performing like a star, business basics, beat-boxing, recording techniques and more. 

The festival will feature competitions where college and semi-pro groups vie to win $1,000 and high school groups will sing their hearts out for the chance to win a trophy and bragging rights.

March 23, Saturday, 2 p.m.

March 24, Sunday, 2 p.m.

A cappella groups perform to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association
