Residents and people who work in or visit Morton Grove can nominate public areas including buildings, parks or business. The entries with the most nominations will be placed on a final ballot that will be voted on at Village Hall and the Morton Grove Farmers Market.
“The purpose of the program is to encourage a sense of community and have Morton Grove residents take some pride in areas of their town that they might not be aware of or that they are aware of or want other people to be aware of,” said commissioner Janice Cha.
After holding an informal strategy session the group launched a Facebook page Wednesday to help spread the word about the contest. The Community Relations Commission will also be offering nomination forms at the Aug. 27 farmers market.

Is this a popularity contest? There are some hidden gems in MG that won't get many nominations because people don't know about them. They should be evaluated by a committee.

I'd like to nominate the waterslide at the Harrer pool as 1 of the 7. Sadly other wonders such as the pink castle from Par-King no longer exist.
