Park Ridge Job Fair Draws 1,000 Hopefuls

63 representatives from different companies on hand at fair last week.

Nearly 1,000 people attended a employment fair at the Park Ridge Community Center last week in search for work, as reported by the Morton Grove Champion.

The fair took place on Sept. 15 and was hosted by State Sen. Dan Kotowski, D-Park Ridge, and the Illinois Department of Employment Security. A wide range of company representatives were on hand from different fields including health care, manufacturing and retail.

Along with the job fair, several seminars were held at the Community Center to help people find work. The seminars included interview techniques, how job hunters can market themselves in the current economy and tips on networking.
