Sign Up For July Fourth Parade, Festival

Your business, school, club or other organization can march in Niles parade; Morton Grove seeks fest volunteers.

Don't you just love marching bands? And floats? And camels, llamas and dogs wearing little bandannas?

All those and more are part of the Fourth of July parades in Niles and Morton Grove.

Niles is inviting businesses, clubs and organizations to take part in the parade; Morton Grove is asking for volunteers for Morton Grove Days, the festival that takes place June 30 through July 4th this year.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks, like selling raffle tickets, staffing booths at the carnival, selling beer at the beer tent (minimum age 21) or helping direct traffic. To help, contact Trustee Bill Grear at (847) 965-4100 or bgrear@mortongroveil.org, or Georgianne Brunner at mortongrovedays@gmail.com.

Niles

The Fourth of July parade kicks off at 9 a.m. from Notre Dame College Prep on Dempster Street, and lasts until approximately 11 a.m. on July 4th. To get your organization's float or unit into the parade, register by calling Cathy Spadoni at the Village of Niles at 847-588-8019 or cms@vniles.com.

Then start building your float!
