Video Describes Program Benefitting Morton Grove Planning

CMAP video explains the program giving the village the equivalent of $50,000 in assistance.

In March, Morton Grove learned that it would receive the equivalent of $50,000 in consulting and technical help through a program sponsored by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP).

This month, CMAP released a video highlighting the Local Technical Assistance (LTA) program. The LTA will help the village implement its “Industrial Areas Plan,” aimed at developing industrial property near Oakton Avenue and around the corner of Waukegan Road and Golf Avenue.

LTA is sponsored by a three-year, $4.25 million HUD Sustainable Communities grant. The overall goal is to help communities in the Chicago area implement the GO TO 2040 comprehensive plan, the first such plan for metro Chicago in more than a century.

Morton Grove was one of 220 applicants to the program. Of those, CMAP chose 64 organizations’ plans as higher priority projects that required immediate funding. Nearby communities such as Niles, Des Plaines and Evanston were chosen as higher priority projects as well.

I just paid $22.87 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $675 which only cost me $62.81 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from, http://BuzzSave.com
