Vote for the Most Annoying Christmas Carol

In our contest of best loved (and least-loved) holiday tunes, here's your chance to pick the ditty that most grates on your nerves. Oh! How will you choose?

Annoying Christmas carols? You have so, so many to choose from.

Anything you hear in an elevator or a big box store, or a mall, or...the list goes on.

Here in Patch's annual contest of Best and Least Loved Christmas carols, you can cast your vote, below, for the Most Annoying category.

Feel free to tell us, in the Comments section, what annoys you about it, and where you last heard it in the area. And because everyone has their own tastes in what's annoying, tell us what other songs you would include on this list.

Be sure to vote in the other categories, too:

The deadline for voting is Friday, Dec. 21 at noon. We'll have the results soon after. And we'll try not to annoy you too much.

My all-time annoying Christmas song is not one of the choices. Every time I hear "Pah-rum-pa-pum-pum" I want to crush the little drummers fingers!
Bah! Humbug!

Grandpa, I hear you. And I also hear "Little Drummer Boy." Much too often.

Bruce Springsteen's Santa Claus rendition is in the wrong category.

That song has got to be the lousiest, most annoying, Christmas song ever... the only time i would ever willingly listen to it is if i felt like hurting myself.

Hi Dan, Well, we put it in that category because we didn't have an "I would never admit to being sentimental about Christmas because I am a too-cool rocker, so I will give it a hard edge to cover up the fact that I cry every time I see "It's a Wonderful Life" category.

"Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart" has to be the most repetitious, boring, simplistic, moronic, overplayed Christmas Song [sic] ever written. To paraphrase Dickens, "Anyone who goes about with LCIGYMH on his lips should be boiled in his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through his heart!"

Michael, you are MUCH too shy about expressing your opinions. Come on now, speak up, and let everyone know how you feel! :-)
