Wallet Stolen From Woman Dining In Restaurant
She lost six credit cards, cash, ID. Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
A 60-year-old Morton Grove woman reported that while she was sitting in a restaurant in the 7000 block of Dempster, Niles, on Feb. 2, she hung her purse on her seat. When she looked at it later, her wallet was gone. A black leather wallet, an Illinois ID card, six credit cards and cash were missing.
Stolen credit card used to make purchase
A 33-year-old Chicago woman reported on Feb. 3 that after her purse had been stolen at a Golf Mill Shopping Center store on Jan. 29, someone used it to make a purchase of $100.08, police said. She cancelled her credit card and told police she will sign complaints, according to the report. Police are investigating.
