When is Passover 2013?

The Jewish Holiday of Pesach begins soon. It's the major Jewish holiday of the spring season.

The 2013 Passover holiday will be held from sundown March 25 to nightfall on April 2.

"The first two days of Passover (from sundown of the first date listed, until nightfall two days later) are full-fledged, no-work-allowed holiday days," as are the last two, days according to the website Chabad.org.

It's the major Jewish holiday of the spring and is known as the festival of unleavened bread, or khag hamatzot.

It marks the deliverance of the Hebrew people from Egypt, according to the book Essential Judaism.

Seders, special meals, are held the first two nights, and the Haggadah is read, telling the exodus story.
