Who Won In Niles and Morton Grove?
One upset occurred in a hot race; a school referendum made an unexpected win.
For the most part, the Niles and Morton Grove area had elections that were safely predicted in advance.
But there were some surprises. Here are the results for the area:

- 9th Congressional District: Incumbent Jan Schakowsky, a Democrat, beat Republican challenger Tim Wolfe 59.4 percent to 40.6 percent.
- 10th Congressional District: Challenger Brad Schneider, a Democrat, unseated incumbent Republican Congressman Bob Dold in a close, and hard-fought race.
- Illinois Senate 8th District: Ira Silverstein ran unopposed.
- Illinois House 20th District (Niles and Chicago): Incumbent Republican State Rep. Michael McAuliffe bested Democratic challenger Bruce Randazzo.
- Illinois House 15th District (Niles and Chicago): Incumbent Democratic State Rep. John D'Amico ran unopposed.
- Illinois House 16th District (Skokie and Morton Grove): Incumbent Democratic Rep. Lou Lang won after being challenged by Vincent Romano
- Golf School District 67, in Niles and Morton Grove, defeated one of its two referendum questions, but the other passed. Final results did not come in until after midnight.

I'm happy with the victories of Jan Schakowsky & Michael McAuliffe as I've known both of tham personally and they're both fine people who care about the folks they're elected to serve. ☺☺☺☺☺
