The don't call this time of year "the season of giving" for nothing.

The Niles Public Library staff and board members donated 20 complete Thanksgiving holiday meals including a $25 Jewel-Osco gift card to the Niles Family Services. According to the Niles Family Services, this donation will feed the neediest families in the community.

On Tuesday, December 20, 2012, Niles Library staff members, library director, and two library board trustees paraded across Oakton St. to bring the Thanksgiving meals personally to Family Services.

Everyone at the Niles Library is so grateful for the massive support from the community. We look forward to starting our renovation project early next year, which will offer the community even more.
