Local elections can, on occasion, get a little contentious but by comparison they do not match the absurdities of national elections, nor does local media conduct itself as partisan as mainstream media did in the last presidential contest. A large segment of the main stream media bestowed the status of Messiah upon Barack Obama and that of Disciples upon themselves. They have been intrumental in helping create a presidency fueled by narcissism.
This is certainly not the case with the forthcoming Niles Mayoral Election. Currently the contestants are Andrew Przybylo and Chris Hanusiak. Both have served as trustees on the Niles Village Board under Mayor Robert Callero. Both have expressed concern regarding ethics; both are building strong, experenced tickets; both have business backgrounds; and both exhibit a professional presence.
In my opinion Niles voters are facing a " can't lose " outcome in the forthcoming election.
