Make a Wish Box, Do Zumba Santa-Style

Your Today In Skokie report for Friday, Dec. 20 focuses on this weekend's activities.

Get Hooked: Make a Wish Box

For the New Year: Keep your thoughts and wishes in a hand-decorated box that you and your family will treasure forever. Create your own Wish Box at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 21 at the Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave. Bring the following with you: an empty cardboard or wooden box, such as a shoe-box or smaller; scissors; and glue. If you have decorations that you want to put on your wish box, bring them. There will be additional items to choose from. For more information or to register, go to calendar.mgpl.org or call 847-929-5101.

ZUMBA - SANTA STYLE!

Come out for a FREE 1.5 hour Zumba event with six instructors. There will be a Holiday Party afterwards. All are welcome ages 14 and older at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, December 22 at the 987 Civic Center, Niles.

Kymberlee Kaye Raya, the co-founder of thezumbateam.com, has a line up of amazing talent and fun. Every instructor is donating their time to give back to the community. Dress in your holiday Zumba gear and bring a friend! Bring a non-perishable food item or unwrapped toy for your FREE entrance. All donations will be delivered to the Village of Niles Food Pantry.
