Registration Open For Iceland and Hockey

Here's what's up for Wednesday, Sept. 4 in Niles and Morton Grove. You can also help craft a tree ordinance for Niles, and prepare to celebrate Rosh Hashana.




Here's what's happening Today In Niles and Morton Grove for Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013.

  • Do you love trees? The Niles Environmental Practices committee meets at 6:15 p.m. to work on crafting a tree ordinance. 
  • The Niles Park District swings into the fall season. Preschool began this week, Hockey Fall Season Registration runs now through Oct. 6, and Iceland Fall registration has begun. 
  • Rosh Hashana starts at sunset and will be observed at Chabad and F.R.E.E. of Niles, among other places. 
  • Looking ahead: Niles Township High School District 219 schools (Niles North and Niles West) have a day off Thursday for Rosh Hashana.
