Area Boy Scouts Host Haunted Hike This Weekend
Three scouts representing the Order of the Arrow from the Boy Scouts of America’s Northwest Suburban Council’s (NWSC) Lakota Lodge 175 came to Maine Township’s Board meeting on Oct. 22 to present a Certificate of Appreciation to Supervisor Carol A. Teschky.
They expressed thanks to the Township and its Office of Emergency Management for support over the years for the Annual Haunted Hike, the scouts outdoor version of a haunted house. This year’s event at the Methodist Campgrounds, 2000 E. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines, takes Friday and Saturday.
