"John's good work speaks for itself so he will be a great asset to our Parish team," says Pastor Michael Meany. "John worked in the same capacity at St. Michael’s in Old Town and after hearing about his good work, I decided that his talents could be put to work right here at SJB, his home parish."

With his supervisory experience with the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, the Lindenhurst Park District and the Niles Park District, he will focus on ensuring a safe and orderly use of the SJB facilities, Meany added.

Jekot also currently serves as Trustee in the Village of Niles. He was on the East Maine School Dist. 63 Board of Education and still serves on its Education Foundation as Vice President.
