Liberty Bank Offers FREE Document Shredding Sept. 28

Liberty Bank for Savings will offer a free shredding day Saturday, Sept. 28, at its Park Ridge branch at 1018 W. Touhy Ave.  Offered as a community service, the event will be held between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.   There is no charge and reservations are not required.

Family, friends and neighbors may bring up to 25 pounds of sensitive documents to be shredded and disposed of properly at the event.  Proper shredding is a way to fight fraud and combat identity theft which continues to rise. It is estimated that identity theft costs across the nation total more than $45 billion dollars. Approximately 10,000 identity theft victims are Illinois residents.

Through this helping partnership, Liberty Bank for Savings continues its long tradition of community service.  For more information about the variety of events that Liberty offers as a community service or to learn more about Liberty’s mortgage products and services or for any other banking needs, visit www.libertybank.com.
The roots of Liberty Bank for Savings reach back to1898 when members of the Parish of All Saints Polish National Catholic Church came together in the spirit of "neighbors helping neighbors." Liberty provides safe and secure banking services at five locations—three on the northwest side of Chicago, one in Park Ridge and one in Lincolnwood and celebrates its 115th anniversary in 2013.
