Maine Township Celebrates 20th National Night Out

Maine Township’s 20th Annual National Night Out Against Crime (NNO), invited all residents and families to attend the event on Aug. 6.  Designed to promote family fun and neighborhood unity, NNO also educates residents on crime prevention and safety.

Sponsored by Maine Township, Neighborhood Watch, Cook County Sheriff’s Police, Golf Maine Park District, North Maine Fire District and other community businesses, the event was held in Dee Park in unincorporated Maine Township.  The event featured a poster contest with the theme “Respect Yourself and Your Community”. Contest winners were given gift cards and other prizes.
