Maine Township Serves Up Warmth and Help to Needy

Maine Township Town Hall served as a warming center during daylight hours on Monday, Jan. 6. In addition, Supervisor Carol A. Teschky said Town Hall stands ready to serve as an emergency warming center after-hours if requested by any of the area’s emergency management agencies.

Here, a mother and son who lost electric power at their Park Ridge home came to the Township for assistance. They enjoyed the warming center most of Monday. They met with Marsha Warnick, center, who is Director of General Assistance, to discuss what other assistance is available from the Township and other resources with which Warnick can help make connections.
