Budget, Closed Meetings Addressed at Tonight's Library Board Meeting

Morton Grove Library Board agenda for Nov. 10.

Morton Grove Public Library Board members will discuss and possibly approve the 2012 budget at tonight's meeting, as well as address the violation of closed session meeting confidentiality, which has been a contentious issue throughout the year.

Residents could see a roughly $5 reduction in a portion of their tax bills if the board approves the 2012 budget, .

In 2011 the budget called for $3,165,847,32 in expenses and revenues. Property taxes accounted for $3,099,570 of that revenue. This year the library expects to spend $10,000 less for salaries due to the resignations of the director and two library heads, Interim Co-Director Kevin Justie told the Morton Grove Champion.
