Carnival At Maine East Starts Thursday
It'll benefit the athletes at the school; a blood drive and bone marrow registry will also help a student with leukemia.
Don't tell your dentist, but there's a carnival coming, and there just might be some cotton candy-- as well as other things that are not particularly healthy to eat, but make for a fun summer evening.
The Maine East High School Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring a carnival Thursday through Sunday. Proceeds go to support athletes and athletic programs at the school.
A blood drive and bone marrow registry on Friday and Saturday will also support local teen Peter Fox, who was diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing chemotherapy, according to Mark Williams, director of the Niles Teen Center, where Fox has been a longtime member.
