Come On In, the Water's Fine at Oasis Fun Center

Is chlorine your preferred perfume? Pride yourself on your awesome pike dive?  Even if you just prefer to soak up the sun in a reclining lounger, come enjoy the offerings at Oasis Fun Center in Niles.

Operated by the Niles Park District, the clean and well-maintained renovated water park was re-opened in May 2008. It features a splash pad playground with lots of sprayers and buckets for younger kids, a zero depth wading pool, two diving boards, a drop chute, and two water slides – one smaller, one bigger - built into rock facades. Lifeguards are vigilant about patrolling the sizeable pool (hey you – no running!), and there are 15 minute safety breaks enforced every hour.

Among the amenities: two family changing rooms, locker rental, a cash-only concessions stand with picnic tables, and lots of lounge chairs (bring your own copy of People magazine or, if you’re ambitious, War and Peace). Spend the day, or a couple of hours.

Open Mon.-Thurs.: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fri. 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Sat. and Sun.: 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Resident rates are $6 children, $8 adults and $6 ages 62 and up. Non-resident rates are $6 children, $11 adults and $9 ages 62 and up.
