D219 Education Foundation Teams Up with Fear City To Help Needy Kids

Halloween Is Coming and the D219 Foundation Is Working With Fear City to Raise Money!

A number of sponsors have stepped up to help benefit the kids in Niles High Schools by generously donating to the District 219 Education Foundation who have partnered with Morton Grove’s very own Fear City Chicago Haunted House!

The the foundation requires in order to meet their 2014-2015 school year commitments. The Foundation is setting their sights high, with the goal of raising $10,000! Your donation is gravely needed! We can only reach this goal with your help!

Did you know that the proportion of students qualifying for the reduced or free lunch program has reached a staggering high of 35% of the district’s 5,000 students? Over the past six years the District 219 Education Foundation has raised and distributed in excess of $150,000 for the basic educational tools, scholarships and college entrance-related fees. The Foundation continues to distribute breakfast bars and other food essentials to students in need as state and federal funds evaporate.
