Fear City Gets Ready to Scare This Weekend

New haunted attraction opening Saturday in Morton Grove

Do you dare face 40,000-square-feet worth of thrills, screams and fear?

If you’re brave enough, you could earn bragging rights this weekend by conquering Morton Grove’s much talked about haunted house, Fear City.

Fear City is Chicago’s “newest and largest” haunted attraction and will provide a 30 minute thrill ride for audiences. This ghostly attraction opens with a shriek on Saturday, Oct. 1 and will run every week, Sunday through Thursday, up until Oct. 31. Audiences will experience a series of haunted scenes and mazes with more than 50 live actors accompanied by special audio, lighting and video effects.

Fear City is also partnering with local pizza restaurant to sell comfort food for the 1,000 to 2,000 people they hope to scare each night at their location, 8240 N. Austin Ave.

WHEN:         October 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 & 31

HOURS:        Sunday through Thursday:  7 p.m. to 11p.m. - Friday and Saturday:  7 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Sunday, October 30 and Monday, October 31:  7 p.m. to 12 a.m.

RUN TIME:  Approximately 30 minutes per experience

COST:            $25 General Admission/$35 VIP - Free Parking

AGES:            Recommended for ages 13 and up
