When/Where: Saturday, October 15 at 10 a.m., 8522 N Shermer Rd, Niles.
Why Go: Presentation at the Morton Grove Historical Museum’s Education Center on the history of the early settlement of Niles Township. Following an introduction to the founding families and congregations in this area, we will travel to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery, located on Shermer Avenue just south of Dempster Street in Niles.  Dan Wilken, Cemetery Caretaker and Local Historian will lead us on a fascinating tour of the cemetery grounds.

When/Where: Saturday, October 15 at 11 a.m., 2855 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook.
Why Go: A fun and lively afternoon is planned with professional dancers to entertain everyone. We will have several exciting raffles with something for everyone. Come join us for a fun day. Why Go: Sample 30 wines from all over the world at Taste of Good Grapes and enjoy gastronomic treats from Culinary Gatherings - a caterer that specializes in wine and food pairings as well as creative food combinations. This is an event not to be missed!

Why Go: Bring the little ones to dance it up at the library on Friday! Make sure to bring family and friends so everyone can get in on the fun.

Teen Read Week Anime and Manga Celebration

Why Go: Celebrate Teen Read Week with an Anime and Manga Club meeting.

Family Campfire
When/Where: Friday, October 14 from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Wildwood Nature Center; 2701 Sibley Avenue, Park Ridge.
Why Go: Bring the whole family to enjoy a relaxing night around the bonfire. Listen to stories, sing songs, and make s’mores or take a walk around the pond.

Notre Dame College Prep Open House
When/Where: Sunday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 7655 W. Dempster, Niles.
Why Go: If you’re thinking about sending your son to Notre Dame for high school, you can get a personal tour from a current student.
