‘Once Upon A Mattress’
Where/When: Maine South High School, 1111 S. Dee Rd., Park Ridge, Friday May 6 and Saturday May 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: It’s the tale of the princess and the pea, only better and with music.
Pricing: $10.

‘Raise the Woof’
Where/When: Wright-way Animal Rescue, 7136 W. Touhy Ave., Niles, Saturday May 7 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Why Go: Raise awareness Wright-way has lost its lease. Bring your dog and hold a poster to support the cause of more animals being saved in this area. Food provided.
Pricing: Free, donations accepted.

St. John Brebeuf Fun Fair
Where/When: 8307 N. Harlem Ave., Niles, Sat. May 7 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Why Go: Let the kids enjoy a moonwalk, giant inflatables, lots of games and prizes, raffles, a 13-foot obstacle course, a bungee run and an 18-foot slide.
Pricing: $15.


Where/When: 8930 Waukegan Rd., Morton Grove (behind the large brick building, next to IBJI), Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why Go: Celebrate spring and the women in your life with Morton Grove’s first Mother’s Day sale. You can get local jewelry, plants, food and gifts
