St. Patrick’s for Patricks at Chicago’s Skydeck
Where/When: All day Saturday, March 12 in downtown Chicago.
Why Go: The Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower is honoring St. Patrick’s Day by celebrating, well, namely you – if your name is Patrick, that is. Access is free all day for anyone whose first, middle, or last name is Patrick.Those named Patrick simply need to show a valid ID with name and picture for their free access to everything Skydeck Chicago has to offer, including views of up to 50 miles and four states and the popular “Ledge.”  
Price: Free (for Patricks).

"Hairspray," the Musical, At Maine East High School
Where/When: 2601 W. Dempster, Park Ridge. 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 11 and Saturday March 12.
Why Go: See a diverse school present a wacky, fun musical about how the chubby girl integrated a high school in 1962 just because she loved to dance.
Pricing: $10, purchase tickets online or call 847-692-8500.


Where/When: Saturday, March 12, 1-3 p.m. at Gemini Junior High School in Niles.
Why Go: East Maine School District 63 hosts a bash featuring a climbing wall, volleyball, ping pong, yoga, board games, open gym, baggo, blood pressure checks and snacks. You must donate a can of food to get in.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: Saturday, March 12, 8:30 a.m. at Prairie Lakes Community Center in Des Plaines.
Why Go: The Coast Guard “Suddenly In Command” class is designed for spouses, children and friends of boaters who want to gain confidence so that they can relax and have fun while out on the water. Trained instructors from the U.S. Coast Guard will teach you about your vessel, including starting the engine and operating the radio.

Where/When: The Art Center Highland Park, Friday, March 11 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Showcase your talents and share up to six poems.

Where/When: Highland Park Public Library, Saturday, March 12 at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Instructors from The Music Institute of Chicago and Hoffman Strings, will introduce and demonstrate their instruments. Everyone will have an opportunity to talk to the musicians and try out any instrument.

TV Tune Out Week: Free Games at Pinstripes
Where/When: All week long at Pinstripes in Northbrook
Why Go: Turn off the tube and head over to Pinstripes for a free game of bowling or bocce ball for TV tune out challenge week.
Pricing: Free.

TV Tune Out Week: The Musical Production of Jungle Book  
Where/When: Washburne Little Theater, Winnetka, Friday, March 11 at 4 p.m.
Why Go: This week is all about the bare necessities. Tune out the TV for some live entertainment at the Washburne Little Theater.
Pricing: $7 in advance, $9 at the door.


Where/When: Wilmette Theater, Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m.
Why Go: Take the munchkins to see the ATC Repertory Company perform the classic musical. The show runs at 10 a.m. and noon.
Pricing: $10-$12.
