Niles Teen Center Director Mark Williams introduced Niles Trustee John Jekot, who welcomes the crowd on behalf of the village. Pamela Surber, director of East Maine Elementary District 63's TLC program, which had brought its students to the event, also welcomed the crowd.

Families also visited the information fair, where Niles Family Services, Usborne Books, Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation, Niles Family Fitness Center and Boy Scout Troop 175 representatives, and others, handed out information and snacks.
