Kids Have Eggsciting Time at Easter Event

The Morton Grove Park District put out brightly-colored, candy-filled Easter eggs, and there was a mad dash to grab them.

 

Parents and kids were delighted to see a sunny, 50-degree day Friday, at the end of a mostly-cold March, for the Morton Grove Park District's annual Eggstravaganza event.

Volunteers from the American Legion post scattered candy-filled plastic eggs on a wide lawn outside the Prairie View Community Center, and park district staff allowed different age groups, from little kids to 8 to 10-year-olds, to have a go at collecting the eggs. The vounteers had to replenish the supply of eggs after each age group collected them.
