Patch Pet of the Week

Poppy is pretty as a flower.

Poppy is your typical, fun-loving American Staffordshire Terrier who likes to smell the flowers and run through a meadow too.

She is two years old and a strong 40 pounds.

Poppy was found as a stray in Indiana and loves to greet everyone with kisses, people and dogs alike. She enjoys walking on leash and is learning house manners. She likes to jump up to say hello, so a house with older children would be best. Poppy will be a great candidate for obedience school and some day might make a terrific agility dog.

She does well in a crate when left alone and is ready for a loving home. She is up-to-date with her shots and is heartworm tested. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued pets. She is currently housed in a kennel in Illinois and would love to be sleeping on a dog bed in someone's living room.
