I have talked with many readers about the Patch Pet of the Week and know that several of you are looking for a little dog that would enjoy walking the neighborhood and playing with the grandkids, well here she is!
Candy really is a sweet little Shih Tzu/Yorkshire Terrier-mix looking for a forever home. Her beloved owner of 10 years fell ill and can no longer care for Candy. Through no fault of her own, this adorable little pup is living in foster care looking for a new family.

Playing with other dogs is on the top of her list of fun activities, so is chasing house cats and bunnies, therefore a dog only household would be best for her.
Cuddling up to people of all ages is also one of Candy's favorite things to do. So if you have an empty lap at home and are tired of taking your walks around the block and the forest preserve alone, this is the perfect companion for you.
