Patch Pet of the Week: Buddy

This Chinese Shar Pei could bring you some good luck in the New Year if you bring him home.

This Chinese Shar Pei is ready for adoption just in time to ring in the Chinese New Year!  Do you need a buddy this winter? Buddy would be perfect; he's sweet, gentle and a bit shy, but at 10 years old he just wants to lay at your feet and go for slow walks.

Buddy was huddled at the back of a cage at a Chicago shelter when We Luv Paws, a Chinese Shar Pei breed rescue, scooped him up and put him in a foster home.

This wrinkled, mature dog enjoys the company of other dogs and people. He may never have gone to school and so doesn't have a formal education, but he knows house rules and takes treats gently.

Buddy is updated with his shots and even went to the dentist recently. Unfortunately due to lack of proper care, he had to have several teeth removed and is deaf due to cronic and untreated ear infections.

Buddy’s adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of We Luv Paws. To meet and possibly adopt Buddy, please contact his foster mom Debbie at kruegerd55@gmail.com or 847-362-3056. Because he’s shy and deaf and easily startled, he’s best in a home with adults.
