Patch Pet of the Week: Sandy

A greyhound and a boxer mixed together means a dog who loves to run and play around.

Sandy has lots of energy being a boxer/greyhound mix. She is still just a pup at one year old but has plenty of training from her foster home.

She is housebroken and knows many commands. She will need to attend obedience classes with her new family to learn their house rules and for some much needed bonding time.

Sandy was in Chicago Animal Care and Control as a puppy and luckily ended up in foster care. She has done well and loves to play with other sociable dogs. She is a little too excited about cats to be in a home with them and would do best with older kids.

This peppy pooch knows the commands sit, down, paw, and kiss! She likes to hang out in her crate when everyone leaves the house and its the safest place to leave a young dog like this.

Sandy is up to date on all her shots and heartworm tested,  spayed and even micro-chipped. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control.

To meet and possibly adopt Sandy, please contact her foster mom Kristina at kik5927@hotmail.com or 773-551-2609.

Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control is a network of foster homes that take homeless animals from the shelter and get them ready for placement in forever homes.
